The Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar III, says Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable despite recent agitations for the restructuring of the country.

The Sultan, however, advised the Federal Government to revisit the issues of revenue allocation and federal character to allow for true federalism.

He stated this on Wednesday in Abuja at a meeting organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) with the theme “The Labour Movement and The Future of a United Nigeria”.

The meeting took a different turn when a former governor of Edo State, Mr Adams Oshiomhole addressed the gathering.

in his presentation, Oshiomhole alleged that those calling for restructuring are Nigerians who did not succeed in the 2015 general elections.

This resulted in a rowdy session of about five minutes from members of labour unions at the meeting who shared a different view.
